Production Log (20/1/14)
What progress did you make since your previous entry?
This week is our last week which we had editing, last week we mostly did everything and finished most of our editing, but this week we played around with the transitions and effects that we had used in between our advert, we tried to match it as close to what it is trying to portray and also to go with our concept and plan that we had originally decided. This week we made sure everything is up to a distinction standards as this is what me and my partner are aiming towards. We also watched it several times and asked our peers to watch it and give last final feedback as to any ways we could improve it, we also made our teacher watch it a few times to see if he could say anything to improve it, in any way.
What logistical challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?
The logistical challenges we had faced is fixing the voice over to match it correctly with our shot, as several times it had moved out of place. But we had overcome that by placing it exactly where it is meant to be and not touching that particular shot. We also changed the way our slogan is written as the way we had planned it did not work on the live type software on the apple mac, but we overcame that by choosing a better style, font and transition which works very well with our whole turkish concept of the advert.
What technical challenges did you face this week and how did you overcome them?
The technical challenges we had faced is putting our graphics on which matches our shot perfectly, we had played around with where our graphics was placed, this how we overcame it by, by moving it in all types of direction and also making the writing the right size which is perfect on the actual pac shot.
What targets do you aim to achieve before your next entry?
For the next entry the targets i aim to achieve is finish the advert, and then upload the advert to Youtube and then put it on blogger, i then intend to start my evaluation off.

Production Log (13/1/14)
What progress did you make since your previous entry?
From last week we have progressed massively as we are near enough done with the full editing of our tv advertisement except that this week week we examined every single shot as to what each and every shot is trying to portray to our audience, we made sure that they understand the concept, we also added the music for our green screen segment where our cast is belly dancing, we choose to go for a belly dancing and arab theme to match our whole turkish concept. Lastly we had done the pac shot for our advert, included our slogan through through graphics and lastly added the voice over at the end.
What logistical challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?
The logistical challenges we had faced is knowing how to add the graphics onto our advert, we overcame that by asking our peers for help. We also faced problems of using the voice over as we didn't know who to use, we firstly got a turkish girl to say it in turkish but our media teachers did not agree to that as they feel it goes to more of a turkish audience then. Then me and my partner both had a try on saying the slogan, my partner thought mine was better, whereas i didn't think so. But at the end we used my voice for the advert.
What technical challenges did you face this week and how did you overcome them?
The technical challenges we had faced is firstly when recording for our voice over, the voice was not very clear, so we then got another voice recorder and recorded our voices, we also faced difficulties in importing our voice recoding on to the mac, but we overcame that through the guidance of our teacher and had imported the recording eventually. We also got told to do the voice recording again as first we had the slogan said in turkish, but then we re done it, using our voice to say the slogan in english.

Production Log (6/1/14)
What progress did you make since your previous entry?
From my previous entry i had taken part in filming for the green screen segment for our advert in school, we had filmed our cast doing all sorts of acting on the green screen when we had come back to school this week, we also both imported all our shots on to the apple mac and put them on to the final cut express software, we then roughly put all the shots together which came up to about 60 seconds, and we had to cut it to half of what we had done.
What logistical challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?
The logistical challenges we had faced is doing the green screen as me and my partner had never used green screen we were not very sure on how we use and how it is done, but then we had overcome this as a media teacher had kindly helped us on how to set it up and how to film the shots on the green screen.
What technical challenges did you face this week and how did you overcome them?
The technical challenges we had faced is knowing how to change and put the green screen background as we had never used green screen, so we had overcome this again by getting our media teacher to help us doing it and she had also teached us the easiest way in doing this, me and my partner believe this was the hardest bit as green screen filming is definitely hard to edit than normal filming, you have to play around with the colours which is very time consuming.

What progress did you make since your previous entry?
The progress i made since my previous entry is being more accurate and doing more steady filming, i also tried to be very creative on filming for this chocolate tv advert by using a variety of different shots from low angle to extreme close ups of the casts eyes. We also tried to make it very visually appealing by choosing the best cast, as the cast we have chosen wouldn't be the way it is if was not for them, her acting skills have enhanced our advert to becoming, nearly successful chocolate advert. The video below had helped me alot in order to understand exactly how to film the shot i wanted exactly. at 3:28 shows how i tried to interpret the low angle shot in one of my shots.

The logistical challenges we had faced is the days which we had chosen to do filming were the days that the weather was very either it was very dark and cloudy or it was just raining heavily that made the house look dark. When filming in my house some of the shots look extremely dark and we overcome that by using artificial lighting to help our shots look brighter. Although we had originally planned to use natural lighting.
What technical challenges did you face this week and how did you overcome them?
The technical challenges we had faced this week is the camera firstly was coming out with very dark shots and then we had changed the settings about and then filmed again and this is how we overcome the problem. Also another technical problem we had faced is the tripod was broken so when we had put it on the camera would drop down and would not stay steady and straight, so me and my partner overcame this by having the idea to do some shots free hand without using the tripod which was very successful as we feel as though we became more creative when doing this as we were able to move the camera freely.
What targets do you aim to achieve before your next entry?
The targets i aim to achieve before my next entry is testing out the variety of camera movements and shots as i feel this is what makes the overall end filming successful, i believe if you have accurate and creative camera language than their is no doubt of you not having a successful final end peice. I also would like to target myself of achieving the aim of knowing everything i possibly can about final cut express for editing after filming as this is very important the editing is the main key it makes the filming flow and ties up any loose knots, editing on final cut express has allowed me to achieve the best possible grades i possibly can on my previous media work.
