The progress i made since my previous entry is being more accurate and doing more steady filming, i also tried to be very creative on filming for this chocolate tv advert by using a variety of different shots from low angle to extreme close ups of the casts eyes. We also tried to make it very visually appealing by choosing the best cast, as the cast we have chosen wouldn't be the way it is if was not for them, her acting skills have enhanced our advert to becoming, nearly successful chocolate advert. The video below had helped me alot in order to understand exactly how to film the shot i wanted exactly. at 3:28 shows how i tried to interpret the low angle shot in one of my shots.
What logistical challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?
The logistical challenges we had faced is the days which we had chosen to do filming were the days that the weather was very either it was very dark and cloudy or it was just raining heavily that made the house look dark. When filming in my house some of the shots look extremely dark and we overcome that by using artificial lighting to help our shots look brighter. Although we had originally planned to use natural lighting.
What technical challenges did you face this week and how did you overcome them?
The technical challenges we had faced this week is the camera firstly was coming out with very dark shots and then we had changed the settings about and then filmed again and this is how we overcome the problem. Also another technical problem we had faced is the tripod was broken so when we had put it on the camera would drop down and would not stay steady and straight, so me and my partner overcame this by having the idea to do some shots free hand without using the tripod which was very successful as we feel as though we became more creative when doing this as we were able to move the camera freely.
What targets do you aim to achieve before your next entry?
The targets i aim to achieve before my next entry is testing out the variety of camera movements and shots as i feel this is what makes the overall end filming successful, i believe if you have accurate and creative camera language than their is no doubt of you not having a successful final end peice. I also would like to target myself of achieving the aim of knowing everything i possibly can about final cut express for editing after filming as this is very important the editing is the main key it makes the filming flow and ties up any loose knots, editing on final cut express has allowed me to achieve the best possible grades i possibly can on my previous media work.
